TransportInstruction API

TransportInstruction API is used to submit complete transport data that forms the basis for the transport and invoicing. In order to reduce the risk of delays and / or additional fees, it is important that the information is of the highest quality possible, ie that address and freight information is correct. For example, the postcodes should be validated against the PostCode API to ensure that it is operated by DHL Freight and that the goods' properties are validated against the product rules.

The API returns, among other things, the shipment and package number as well as the routing code>7p>

Before you start using this API towards the DHL Production Environment, an Implementation Request must be approved by DHL Freight (Sweden), via Implementation Request.
